A. Term Of Growth
Strawberry plants can grow well in the area with good weather and rainfall at least 600-700 mm/year.
Sun light illumination duration required for the growth is 8-10 hours per day.
Strawberry is subtropical plant that can adapt nicely in the high land which has temperature about 17-20 degrees Celsius.
The proper humidity for the growth of strawberry plants is between 80-90%.

B. Planting media

If planted in the garden, the required soil is sandy loam, fertile, friable, contain many organic substances, a good management of water and air.

The ideal degree of soil acidity (pH) for strawberry cultivation in the garden is 5.4-7.0, while in the pot is 6.5-7,0.

If planted in the garden, the depth of ground water needs is about 50-100 cm from the ground surface. If planted in a pot, the media should have the character of axis, easy to absorb water and burly elements should always available.

C. Planting techniques

Spray the polybag which contains the seeds and pullout the seeds with its planting media carefully.

Plant one seed in a hole, then tamp the soil around the base of the stem.

For plantation without mulsa, give the basic fertilizer as much as 1/3 of recommended fertilizer dose (suggested doses is 200 kg/ha Urea, 250 kg SP-36 and 150 kg/ha KCl). Fertilizer given in the hole in the depth of 15 cm in the left and right side of the plants.

Spray the soil around the base of the stem until moist.

D. Fertilization

Plantation without mulsa: additional fertilizer given 1,5-2 months after planting as much as 2/3 of the recommended dose. Fertilization do by spraying in shallow area between rows, and then close the soil.

Plantation with mulsa: additional fertilizer added if the growth is not good enough. Mixture of urea, SP-36 and KCl (1:2:1,5) as much as 5 kg dissolved in 200 liters of water. Each plant sprayed with 350-500 cc of fertilizer.
