In Italy, casablanca jasmine (Jasminum officinalle), called the Spanish Jasmine planted in 1692 to be made as perfume. In 1665 white jasmine (J. sambac) was cultivated in the UK which is introduced by Casimo Duke de Medici. In 1919 J. Parkeri jasmine found in the North West Indian, then cultivated in England in 1923.

Among the 200 type of jasmine that have been identified by the botanist, only 9 variety of jasmine has been cultivated and there are 8 types of jasmine has potential to be made as ornamental plants. Most types of jasmine grows wild in the forests because its economic and social potential has not been revealed.

• Jasminum sambac (white jasmine)
• Jasminum multiflorum (forest jasmine, ‘Star Jasmine’).
• Jasminum officinale (casablanca jasmine, Spanish Jasmine) sinonim ~ J. floribundum = Jasmine grandiflorum).
• Jasminum rex (King Jasmine).
• Jasminum parkeri Dunn. (pottery jasmine).
• Jasminum mensyi (Jasminum primulinum, Primrose jasmine).
• Jasminum revolutum (Italian jasmine)
• Jasminum simplicifolium (Australia jasmine, J. volibile, Star jasmine). Hybrid jasmine. It has pink color and sweet scented.

One month before planting, jasmine seeds first adopted around the garden. Garden area that is ready to be planted given a base fertilizer which consists of 3 grams of TSP and 2 grams of KCl per plant. If each hectare of land contains about 60,000 of planting holes (planting distance of 1.0 m x 1.5 m), the needs of basic fertilizer is more or less 180 kg of TSP and 120 kg of KCl. Together with the provision of basic fertilizer can be added land stabilizer such as Agrovit, stratos / GroMate acid humus.
