We had this huge sunflower that spontaneously sprung up in our backyard when I was a kid. It literally came out of nowhere! My mother thought it may have come from us eating sunflower seeds in the back yard, but we never found out the origin. After that, we started really planting them. I remember the bright yellow/orange “sun” and for some reason, it always made me happy to see those in our yard. I cant wait to experience that again. Thank you for the informative post.
